Ices Plain & Fancy
Have you ever seen ice cream being made with nitrogen? It’s pretty cool actually! We stumbled upon Ices little ice cream shop one day when we were actually lost! And I’m so glad my daughter pointed it out because it is the cutest little corner shop that has the tastiest ice cream! I’m not talking about just regular ice cream. I’m talking about nitrogen ice cream, I’m talking about liquor ice cream, I’m talking about birthday cake ice cream that has an actual piece of cake on it! Oh and did I mention an ice cream made just for your dog?! Yep! You heard me right!
Ices was founded in 2014 just blocks down from Tower Grove Park in St.Louis, Missouri. It has ever since been a spot where you can stop in, grab some amazing ice cream, and chill. They have indoor seating with outdoor seating with umbrellas as well. It is seriously the cutest little parlor ever with it’s bright colors and clear glass counter where you can watch them make your nitrogen ice cream!
I have to admit I didn’t get to try the “Boozy Ices” when I was there and I’m a little upset about it because I hear nothing but good things! One of the co-owners, Troika Brodsky, also works at Schlafly’s (a brewing company in St.Louis) & when getting the idea to create ice cream versions of drinks, it was a win win for everyone! They are always switching out their menu with different flavors which keeps me wanting to keep coming back so I don’t miss a new one! However, when me and my daughter did get to go we both decided to get the “Birthday Cake” treat! It was their nitrogen birthday cake ice cream, with a piece of actual cake on top of it, with sprinkles, a candle, and a sparkler! I mean what more could a girl want? And it didn’t even have to be your birthday to get it!! It was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life! Literally! It wasn’t over bearing of the “birthday cake” taste, you know the one I’m talking about. It was so smooth and the cake was the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s something about them two together that made it the best in the world!
So to say the least, it’s one of my favorite places to stop in at! No matter what flavor, boozy flavor, dairy free flavor, or if you grab your pup one, it is literally the freshest ice cream you will ever eat in your life!
