St.Louis Zoo - Petting Stingrays

I recently just took my family to the St.Louis Zoo and they have an attraction to pet stingrays! I was a little concerned at first because of things I’ve heard, that even though stingrays won’t sting you, incidents do happen. But once they told me that their stingers were removed it made me feel A LOT better about letting my girls pet them. Its so inexpensive and the girls had a blast! Our zoo is free to get into but there are some attractions that do cost a few dollars a person. Besides the stingrays we have a sea lion show, a children’s petting zoo, a carousel, face paint, and a train that takes you all the way around the park with multiple loading stations!

We go multiple times during the year. Normally we go once in the summer, once in October for their “Boo At The Zoo”, and once in December for their Christmas event. The “Boo at the Zoo” is basically were kids can dress up in their Halloween outfits, trick or treat, and see all the amazing Halloween decorations! It is really a fun time! I’ll have to say though I think my favorite is the Christmas event! They literally cover the whole zoo in lights, have bonfires so we can roast marshmallows, hot chocolate, and its just a great family time! I’ll be sure to take some pictures and videos during both events when we go so you all can see too!

We always have a blast when we go to our zoo! This was Kinsley’s first time going so it was extra special to us! I’ll leave our adventures here for you to see yourself! And if you ever find yourself passing threw or visiting St.Louis, I highly suggest stopping by! Just make sure to wear some comfy shoes! Oh and did I mention you can bring your own food & snacks into the zoo?! That’s a big deal for us money saving mamas!

Hope you enjoy!
